The Benedikt Rejt Gallery, through an extensive exhibition of its collections, returned to its origins and a significant phenomenon of Czechoslovak and global art of the 1960s, commonly referred to as Constructivist or New Tendencies. The exhibition mapped the early period of this art movement between 1964 and 1973, when the newly established Benedikt Rejt Gallery (1966) began forming a core collection of constructivist-oriented artworks, encompassing the finest pieces from the peak of this artistic direction in Czechoslovakia and some extent, abroad.

The circumstances of the gallery's creation testify to the significance of the cultural environment in the town of Louny and the unique connection of many personalities, as well as to the visionary acquisition strategy of the gallery's first director, Jan Sekera, who managed to acquire top-tier works for the newly founded art museum. His trust in this new artistic expression helped establish it institutionally while simultaneously linking it to global artistic developments.

The exhibition also highlighted the theoretical and curatorial work of other key figures associated with the Louny art scene—particularly Josef Hlaváček and Jiří Padrta.
